Officials gathered together for a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, Dec. 13 to honor the opening of an expanded four-lane section of Highway 45, running from Route K to Interstate 435 in Parkville, Mo. The project took about five years to complete after grant money was secured in 2012. The construction process lasted more than a year.
