Weston’s annual Applefest will kick off Saturday, Oct. 3 with a parade down Main Street at 10 a.m., with festivities lasting until 5 p.m.
The free event continues Sunday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., in downtown Weston.
Applefest features arts and crafts, deals at local shops and restaurants, food, live music and apples galore, including the popular apple dumplings available from Weston Christian Church, apple butter making demonstrations, an “apple alley” and more.
Free shuttle buses will run throughout the weekend from parking areas at the West Platte High School, Weston Elementary School, and the Weston Historic Orchard. Shuttles will drop off and pick up in downtown Weston on Thomas Street.
