The girls volleyball programs at Park Hill South and Park Hill had successful outings at this year’s Park Hill Tri as both programs defeated Liberty North and Staley inside Park Hill High School on Sept. 6.
All four best-of-three matches went the three-set distance.
Park Hill South improved to 5-1 on the season after Saturday. They began Saturday with a victory against Staley, taking the first set 25-21, dropping the second set 25-20, but winning the third set 25-19. Senior Sydni Lafasciano tallied 12 kills while junior Dakota Owenby recorded five blocks.
South’s triumph against Liberty North began as the Panthers edged out set one 25-23, dropping set two 25-13, but taking the third set 25-17. Lafasciano had 14 kills against the Eagles while sophomore Jillian Schuller was credited with six blocks.

Park Hill began the day with a three-set victory against Liberty North. Park Hill jumped in front early, but a Liberty North comeback forced extra points before the Trojans pulled it out 28-26 before dropping the second set 25-20 but cruising through the third set 25-15. Senior Parker Kimball had 12 kills to begin the day, while Brooke Brown and Tessa Walker each tallied 10 points.
The Trojans came from behind against Staley, losing the first set 25-19 before taking set two 25-19 and the third set 25-21. Senior Parker Kimball tallied 13 kills while sophomores Nikyah Chappell, who had five blocks, and Payton Osegueda combined for 21 kills.

Park Hill remained unbeaten with a 5-0 record this season following Saturday’s victories.
Park Hill and Park Hill South will clash for a conference battle on Sept. 11 at the newly opened Park Hill South gymnasium.
