Park Hill’s boys swim team continued its dominant form with a clean sweep of opponents during a quad meet on Oct. 7 at the Park Hill Aquatic Center.
The Trojans cruised to victories over Blue Springs (defeating them 125–58), Truman (139–19) and William Chrisman (125–28) behind a balanced team effort that included multiple event sweeps and relay wins.

On a night where the program honored its seniors, Jack Vaden represented the outgoing cast of Trojans well with two individual victories and a relay victory. Park Hill had the four top finishes in the 200-yard freestyle, with Vaden earning first in 1 minute, 57.71 seconds as well as a first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (5:29.93).
Park Hill sophomore Rainier Realina swims the breaststroke on Oct. 7.
Vaden also helped Park Hill to a win in the 200 freestyle relay as the anchor behind Isaac Stewart, Rainier Realina and Ronan Waters in 1:35.67, nearly 10 seconds quicker than Park Hill’s B relay team that finished second.
Stewart was among the freshmen to impress as he picked up a victory in the 200 individual medley (2:14.27) and finished runner-up in the 100 freestyle (51.40). Stewart was also the starting leg of a pair of first-place relays, including the 200 medley (1:48.95) alongside Realina, Richard Hoover and Brady Beiter, as well as the 200 freestyle.
Junior Brady Scamman also earned a first-place finish in the 100 backstroke in 1:00.15 with a third-place finish in the 200 freestyle (33.13). To conclude the meet, Scamman completed the relay sweep for Park Hill as he anchored the 400 freestyle relay to victory in 3:42.42 alongside Samuel Oetting, Creighton Lopata and Waters, defeating Park Hill’s A relay team in a neck-and-neck race.
Freshmen Carter Miller and Khang Thai went 1-2 in the 100 breaststroke with times of 1:19.83 and 1:21.07, respectively. Hoover and Realina added second and third-place finishes in the 100 butterfly.
Park Hill’s depth proved overwhelming, with at least one Trojan swimmer finishing in the top three of every swimming event.
The Trojans improved to 14–2 in dual competition. Park Hill also turned in impressive performances at the Belton Invitational in Belton on Sept. 12 and the Ozarks Invitational in Springfield on Sept. 6, placing second and third, respectively.
After a tri-match on Oct. 14 in Liberty, the Trojans will head to the Blue Springs South Aquatic Center for the BlueMo Invitational on Oct. 18.
