Another pedestrian on Interstate 29 was struck and killed by vehicles near Barry Road over the weekend.
According to police, the accident happened at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, June 8 when an so-far unidentified woman was walking in the southbound lanes. She was struck in the number two lane and the force of the collision sent her into the number three and four lanes. She was run over by two more vehicles and declared dead on scene.
There have been several pedestrian deaths along that stretch of I-29 over the past 20 years.
