The greatest standouts from the Platte County and Park Hill baseball teams have been named to the 2025 Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State Teams in Class 5 and Class 6.
Platte County’s state championship-winning run has been rewarded with eight players earning All-State spots.
On the first team, infielders Brennan McLaughlin and Dayton Doll were joined by outfielder Rocco Marriott and pitcher Evan Magnuson. McLaughlin and Doll were vital throughout the season near the top of the order while Marriott was a multi-threat centerfielder batting cleanup and leading the team in stolen bases. As a sophomore, Magnuson ate up some critical innings in the quarterfinals and championship, picking up the win in the state championship against St. John Vianney.
On the second team, second baseman Taylor Stambersky and Andrew Edsall represented the state champions. Stambersky will never forget his pinch-hit walkoff single to clinch the state title in run-rule fashion against Vianney while Edsall’s two-run homer in the semifinals set the Pirates up for an unforgettable state championship weekend.
Pitcher and first baseman Brooks Hall was joined by second baseman Liam Blacklock as all-state honorable mention selections. Blacklock got the Pirates’ offense going as the leadoff hitter, which included four critical runs and four drawing walks in the Final Four, while Hall did his damage on the mound with 32 strikeouts in 32 innings and at first base.
Park Hill, which finished 21-15 and pushed eventual state runner-up Staley to the limit in the district semifinals, had two players named class 6 all-state honorable mention — the program’s first all-state selections since 2022.
Senior shortstop Tyson Kiser was named all-state honorable mention. Kiser, who represented the Trojans at the MHSBCA Senior All-Star Game on June 14, will play at Baker University next year after setting a Park Hill single-season record with 50 hits, 42 runs and 32 RBIs.
Junior utility player Caelin Bradford was also named all-state honorable mention for the Trojans. Bradford hit .402 this year with 37 hits and 28 RBIs in addition to pitching 32.2 innings with a 1.28 earned run average and a 5-1 record.
