The world’s very best hide ‘n’ seek champion since 1958 will be taking time from his busy schedule to visit Weston on Saturday, April 26.
This is the fourth year in a row Bigfoot will challenge kids and adults to try to use their best detective skills to locate him.
The Weston Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event, and is encouraging local residents to bring their families to the 4th Annual Weston Bigfoot Search.
The Chamber is partnering with the West Platte Band and Choir students this year, who are raising funds to perform at Pearl Harbor in December. The Chamber urges attendees not to miss their amazing raffle basket, which includes passes to a Bigfoot venue in Colorado. Their booth will be located on Main Street.
The search officially begins at 10 a.m., but participants can start anytime before the 1 p.m. deadline.
Event organizers say that this year, attendees will be searching for Bigfoot characters around the world.
The Bigfoot stops will give searchers clues to the next stop and specials around town.
There will be a drawing from completed passports at 1 p.m.
Each time a searcher locates a version of Bigfoot, they will get their passports stamped.
Tickets/search licenses are available at westonmo.com, the Chamber of Commerce, or Beverlin’s Statuary. Adults’ tickets are $5 and kids under 12 are free.
This year there will be new events at the Bigfoot search, including a costume contest. The Bigfoot Calling contest will be at 1 p.m. And the Biggest Foot for your age contest will be a highlight at the event.
The Bigfoot Search will offer specials all around Weston, thanks to the town’s merchants.
