It’s been nearly two years since an alleged drug deal gone wrong ended in a shooting death at the Platte City Wendy’s restaurant, and the accused shooter remains in custody in Platte County.
Terrion Gully-Henry has a scheduled docket call on Thursday, Nov. 20 with Judge Megan Benton. In June, Gully-Henry asked for a bond reduction, which was denied in July. He pleaded not guilty in June as well, requesting a change of judge from Ann Hansbrough, which was granted.
Gully-Henry is being held without bond in the Platte County Detention Center in Platte City, charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and felony delivery of a controlled substance.
The victims in a drug deal gone bad were young brothers from Kansas City North. Kareem Z. Hassan died after a shot to the head and his brother was shot in the neck.
The incident occurred at the Platte City Wendy’s on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023 when police responded to shots fired and located the two victims on the south side of the fast food restaurant parking lot.

According to court paperwork, video from surveillance cameras in Platte City showed a silver Ford Mustang, occupied by the two brothers, arrived at the Platte City QuikTrip at around 5:50 p.m. After circling the pumps the Mustang parked and at around 6:20 p.m. a silver SUV pulled into the QuikTrip lot, also circling the pumps, then leaving the lot.
The Mustang followed the SUV to Wendy’s, where both vehicles parked. Shortly after, the SUV quickly backed out and accelerated out of the parking lot and the victims were seen lying on the ground.
Police searched the Mustang and pulled a Snapchat exchange from phones belonging to the brothers.
Allegedly, the Snapchat conversation involved a marijuana deal, with one of the brothers and Gully-Henry discussing prices and strains of marijuana. The agreement was to to purchase 56 grams of marijuana for $330, plus a $10 delivery fee.
Gully-Henry provided a link showing the location of the Platte City QuikTrip as the meeting location and the suspect also provided his cell phone number to the brothers.
