PLATTE CITY — The Platte County football team celebrated Military Appreciation Night on Sept. 18, defeating Smithville 38-17 at Pirate Stadium.
The 180th Airlift Squadron of the 139th Airlift Wing, based in St. Joseph, performed the flyover during the national anthem. The Pirates had a big night from the offensive line and junior running back Caleb Hill.
