Dennis Sharkey, Citizen sports reporter, was shot and killed Jan. 10. By mid-June charges were announced at a press conference by Prosecuting Attorney Eric Zahnd. Sharkey’s mother attended, holding a picture of her son on the job. A Kansas City man, Ruslan Huseynov, was charged with the crime and remains in custody pending trial.
