A police pursuit ended on southbound Interstate 29 in Platte County on Tuesday, Jan. 12. Authorities arrested Cory Singleton, 20, of Riverside, Mo. at about 6:35 p.m. near mile marker 16 after a
pursuit that lasted about 45 minutes. The chase began on U.S. Highway 36 in Doniphan County (Kan.) and proceeded east into Missouri and then south on I-29.
Multiple agencies were involved, and the Platte County Sheriff’s Office joined the pursuit at the 19-mile marker. Tire deflation devices were used and eventually stopped the fleeing suspect.
The suspect’s car, a red sedan, was reported stolen out of Weston, Mo. on Friday, Jan. 8 and also had stolen license plates.
No charges had been filed in Platte County against Singleton as of Tuesday night.
