How to 'Arrive Alive'

On April 24 from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m. the Platte County High School Interact Club will host the Arrive Alive – Save More Lives event. The event will be located in the north parking lot of the Platte County High School. "The purpose of the event is preventing distracted and unsafe driving," Arrive Alive participant The Platte County Sheriff's Office said in an official release. "The community is encouraged to attend and participate in some of the following activities; seat belt simulator, impaired goggles, safe driving tips, tricycles and texting, distracted driving videos and field sobriety tests. The Sheriff’s Office will provide information on the proper installation of child safety seats. Local agencies and businesses will have prizes and giveaways for those in attendance. "

Representatives from the following agencies and organizations will be present to provide information: Platte County Sheriff’s Office, Platte City Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kansas City Police Department, Platte County Health Department, Missouri Department of Transportation, State Farm Insurance, AT&T, Tri County Mental Health Services, AAA, Farm Bureau, Share the Road, Platte County Prosecutor’s Office, Platte County High School, and Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA).

The PTSA will host a luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds will go to fund the After Prom event for Platte County High School.
