Oct. 25-26 Downtown Weston

Weston Applefest turns 25 this year and the annual festival will be just as big as ever. The parade along Main Street opens the celebration at 10 a.m. Saturday and will feature Kansas City Chiefs mascot KC Wolf as the honorary guest. Following the parade, there will be a balloon release in the City Park supporting October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The festival is open until 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Weston’s famous apple dumplings, apple pies and cookies will be available through the local churches.
