Discounted tickets for the 152nd Platte County Fair will be sold at area businesses starting Monday, June 15 through July 15. This year’s four-day event will be held July 22-25 at the Platte County Fairgrounds in Tracy, Mo.The season ticket admits one person, age 13 or older, to the fair for all four days. Children age 12 and younger will be admitted free.The discounted tickets will be sold for $25 each at the following locations: Apple Market — Platte City; BankLiberty — Platte City and Parkville; Bank of Weston — Weston and Platte City; Bresette’s Price Chopper — Platte City; Community America Credit Union — Tiffany Springs Branch; Platte Valley Bank — Platte City, Liberty, Smithville, Dearborn and Kansas City (Barry Road); Sharp’s Market — Weston; and Wells Bank — Platte City. Season tickets will cost $30 at the gate on opening night. Daily admission to the fair is $10, which includes parking as available on the fairgrounds, located off exit 18 or 20 of Hwy I-29. Known as the longest running annual county fair west of the Mississippi River, the Platte County Fair will again feature a demolition derby, mud marathon and tractor pull competitions. The Motocross event, which debuted last year, also returns in 2015. The fair also features a carnival, exhibits and live music.
