Cochran, Lindsey record hat tricks in victories

Carson Lindsey recorded a hat trick to help lift Park Hill South to a 4-0 victory at Truman on Monday, Sept. 17 in Independence, Mo.

Lindsey, a senior forward, had the first two goals for the Panthers (7-1) to give them a 2-0 lead at the break. His first goal, with an assist going to Austin Gates, came in the second minute. He added his second goal in the 28th minute on a helper from Jacob Garza.

Chris Brock gave Park Hill South a 3-0 lead in the 49th minute scoring on a pass from Ty Rouse.

Lindsey’s hat trick was completed in the 73rd minute, giving Park Hill South its sixth win in a row. He had three shots on goal and converted on all of them.

The Panthers held a 9-2 advantage in shots against the Patriots.

Platte County blanked the Griffins at home in Suburban Conference Blue Division action on Thursday, Sept. 13 at Pirate stadium.

The Pirates (6-1, 2-0 Suburban) received a three-goal performance by Blake Cochran and he wasted little-time picking up his first goal. He found the net in the 2nd minute.

The Pirates added a second goal in the 38th minute when Grant Washington found the back-of-the-net after an assist by Logan Bannister, making it 2-0 at the break.

The Pirates opened the second half with some aggressive offense. After the first three scoring chances came up empty in the opening minutes, Cochran buried a chance in the 48th minute for his second goal of the match and a 3-0 Pirates advantage.

Hans Thyssen joined the scoring in the 51st minute stretching the Pirates lead to 4-0 over the Griffins. Cochran added his third and final goal in the 66th minute completing the hat-trick.

Jackson Hughey and Ian Lang split time in goal for the Pirates.

A goal with 10 minutes left by Aaron Simpson, on a pass from Chris Munoz, proved to be the game winner for the Trojans on the road Wednesday, Sept. 12 in Peculiar, Mo.

The Trojans struck first with a marker from Nez Redi in the 17th minute, with Ethan Fiest getting credit for the assist. Ray-Pec tied the game in the 30th minute and then went ahead 2-1 in the 46th.

JP Garzon got an assist from Simpson in the 60th minute the tied the game.

Blue Springs South 3 Park Hill 2, 2 OT

The Jaguars got the game-winner in the 96th minute to beat the Trojans in a Suburban Conference Gold Division game on Monday, Sept. 10.

Matt Lachowitzer scored 46 seconds into the game on an assist from Chris Munoz.

Blue Springs South got goals in the 49th and 52nd minute to take the lead, but Ben Jobe’s goal in the final minute off a loose ball tied the match at 2-2.

Bryce Millican had the game-winner.
