Homicide in Farley

McKayla Archambeau and Cordero Cervantes

The Platte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide reported Tuesday night and now is on the search for two suspects.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, the Platte County Sheriff’s Office and first responders were notified of a person shot in the 28000 block of Oberdiek Lane.

A Kansas City Fire Department air ambulance was dispatched to the scene, where a white male suffering from a gunshot wound was found.

According to Major Erik Holland with the sheriff’s office, the deceased is a 31-year-old white male. The deceased man's name has not yet been released.

The site is located near Farley, between Highway 45 and the Missouri River.

Wednesday morning, the sheriff's office announced it is seeking the public's assistance in locating two people of interest in this homicide investigation. Investigators are attempting to locate McKayla Cheyenne Archambeau, a 22-year-old female and Cordero Thomas Cervantes, a 32-year-old male.

McKayla Archambeau is approximately 5'06" tall and weighs approximately 125 lbs. Cordero Cervantes is approximately 5'07" tall and weighs approximately 180 lbs.

The Sheriff's Office considers these individuals armed and dangerous. Anyone who observes either of these individuals should contact their local law enforcement agency.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of either individual is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS or the Platte County Sheriff's Office at 816-858-3521.
