The Greater KC Red Conference girls soccer season was dominated by Park Hill and Park Hill South, with the two programs combining to sweep all four major postseason awards.
Maryn Hudson was named conference player of the year, the second straight year a Trojan has won the award.
Standout forward Maryn Hudson became Park Hill’s second straight Conference Player of the Year, following in the footsteps that Lydia Keller left last year. Hudson, who was also named the Conference Offensive Player of the Year, tallied 30 goal contributions between 18 goals and 12 assists in her senior campaign to lead a much-improved Trojan offense.
Park Hill South senior Savanna Pittman, who won co-defensive player of the year last year, won the award outright this year.
On the defensive side, Park Hill South senior Savanna Pittman won Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season. Pittman, who was a co-winner of the award last season, was the backbone of a Panther defense that shut out opponents seven times throughout the season.

In his second year leading Park Hill, Jason Pendleton was named Conference Coach of the Year for the second year in a row. Pendleton has crafted a major turnaround, taking a team coming off three losing seasons to immediately winning the Trojans back-to-back conference titles, including a perfect 10-0 conference record this year.
Park Hill’s invincible conference campaign came with a staunch defense that allowed just one goal in 10 games. Leading components of the defensive effort include all-conference first team selections sophomore goalkeeper Elise Zeller, sophomore defender Kiley Cato and senior defender Alyssa Estanich.
Myer Cohara played a critical role out of Park Hill’s midfield, earning all-conference first team honors for the first time in her career. The Trojans also had midfielder Jovie Lavin and midfielders Gabba Gernigin and Avery Dec selected all-conference second team. The quartet of Laurel Barton, Val Acosta, Hayes Hudson and Zahria Holbrook earned honorable mentions.
For Park Hill South, Pitmann was joined on the first team by midfielder Sarah Listrom and forward Aubrey Bryant. The Panthers also had all three phases represented on the second team with defender Reese Dutton, midfielder Kinley Cogswell and forward Izabella Vigil. Senior goalkeeper Anna Pudenz earned an honorable mention alongside Tressa Bown, Olivia Dallas, Morgan Murphy, Alayna Patterson and Ruby Vogt.
Park Hill South tied with Liberty as conference runners-up. Both teams posted 7-3 records in league play, splitting both games with Park Hill South defeating Liberty 2-1 on March 26 before losing in Liberty 1-0 on April 30.
Park Hill South finished 13-9 overall, falling in the district semifinals. Park Hill finished 15-3 on the season, falling in the district championship game.
