Long-time Wells Bank worker says farewell

February 1, 2023 Rimsie McConiga

When Betty Parrott began working as a teller at Wells Bank in 1999, she didn’t imagine she would end her career at the bank as Assistant Vice President in 2022.

Parrot worked her way up to Customer Service Representative in 2005 and was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2016.

“Being promoted to A.V.P. allowed me to grow in my career and expand my knowledge throughout the bank,” Parrott said.

She feels very fortunate to have had the pleasure of working with so many amazing people who became more than just co-workers.

“They became lifelong friends that I will forever treasure,” Parrott said. “The most rewarding and my favorite part of working at the bank was helping others and taking care of my customers.”

She also saw some amazing advancements in technology over her 23 years at the bank, which could be challenging for her at times.

She recently decided to retire because she was ready to be at home with her family more often and to enjoy more free time for other interests.

Although she will be greatly missed at the bank, she looks forward to having the time to travel more, spend time with her nine grandchildren and participate in their activities. She will also devote more time to gardening and her time will be available to do projects on the farm and around the house.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my career at Wells Bank and haave loved my time spent here,” Parrott said. “I would like to thank all my co-workers and customers for making my job a place that I enjoyed coming to each and every day. I will forever cherish all the relationships and memories over the last 23 years. Thank you so much Wells Bank. I will miss you all!”
