North Platte XC shines in trip to Cameron Invitational

North Platte brought home four medals in a trip to the Cameron Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 12 in Cameron, Mo.

Bailee Romaker finished in the top 10, running 25 minutes, 3.7 seconds to lead North Platte while Savannah Lingle — a sophomore — came in 23rd. The Panthers only had two runners in the field and did not qualify to post a team score.

North Platte’s boys were fourth in the team standings with a 72, just seven points out of third place.

Tyler Meadows (19:43.9) and Zach Lee (19:45.9) finished back-to-back in 12th and 13th for the Panthers, while Caleb Crumley grabbed the final medal in 20th. He ran 20:40.3.

Missouri Southern Stampede

Isaiah Phillips (66th) and Parker Canfield (114th) led Park Hill in a 388-runner race Saturday, Sept. 16 in Joplin, Mo. The Trojans were 30th out of 47 teams in the final standings for the Green Division.

Phillips ran 17:09.02, while Canfield was at 17:36.79

On the girls side, Grace Fink came in 76th at 20:40.00, while Brooklyn Niebaum was 91st in 20:55.00 — giving Park Hill two in the top 100 of a 350-runner field. The Trojans totaled a team score of 642 and placed 22nd out of 44.
