NORTH KANSAS CITY – Looking to win the North Kansas City Boys’ Basketball Tournament for the second straight season, Park Hill South (7-9) moved to the right side of the bracket before losing its last two games.

Park Hill South has now lost four of the last five with the sole win coming against KIPP Legacy (3-5) on Jan. 18. That was a 51-44 win for the Panthers in the opening round of the North Kansas City Tournament.

Colby Kiedrowski surpassed 20 points for the second time since the New Year on an efficient shooting night. The senior scored 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field and dished out four assists.

Cooper Oathout had his second career double-double, tallying 11 points and 10 rebounds. Michael Good scored nine points and Keegan Feder had seven points as the duo made the only three triples for the Panthers.

Meeting up for the first time since the opening round of the 2023 Class 6 District 8 Tournament, Park Hill South faced off with North Kansas City (13-3) on Jan. 19. Kiedrowski led the way with 11 points and five assists and Oathout scored 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting. The rest of the Panthers shot 4-of-21 and combined for 11 points.
