Platte City now site of measles exposure

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services warns of possible measles exposure in the Platte City and Kansas City North area recently.

There are currently 10 confirmed cases in Missouri.

Known locations where exposure have occurred at Casey’s General Store in Platte City from noon to 2 p.m. on April 12.

Another local spot was the Children’s Place at Zona Rosa on April 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Symptoms generally includes a rash that appears seven to 21 days after exposure. High fever, cough, runny nose and water eyes are other symptoms.
