The Platte City Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred earlier this month in Platte City.
According to Chief of Police Joe Wellington Jr., at about 6:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, a black male suspect entered the Platte City Subway and pulled a gun on the three employees. The man demanded money from the register and also robbed the employees.
According to police he was described as a light skinned Black male in a black hoodie. The hoodie had a distinctive graphic on the front. He was also wearing a surgical mask and left the Subway on foot.
