Platte City public forum slated

Platte City residents will have a chance to take part in a public forum on Thursday, May 30 at the Civic Center at 900 Fourth Street. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and will provide an opportunity to provide comments on proposed public improvement plans at the site of the former Rising Star Elementary School. One of the proposed ideas is to make a new swimming pool/splash park at the location. In January, SFA Architects were approved to do the site development plan.
