The City of Riverside, in coordination with the cities of Parkville and North Kansas City, has announced the launch of the River Cities Express, an official soccer transportation shuttle service connecting communities along the Missouri River corridor to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Fan Fest. The service launched June 11 and will run through July 11, with transportation provided by GEST.
The River Cities Express will serve three stops along its route, Park University in Parkville, Argosy Casino in Riverside and the North Kansas City ConnectKC26 stop at 520 E. 19th Avenue in Northtown. Riders can connect to a transfer shuttle heading to Fan Fest at the National World War Museum and Memorial in downtown Kansas City. As all three cities are situated along the Missouri River and Highway 9, making the 10-mile route a natural and efficient corridor for World Cup fans.
The River Cities Express offers an affordable transportation option as rides are open to anyone interested in attending Fan Fest or wishing to experience shopping, dining or entertainment in the three cities.
Single rides cost $5 per person or a punch card for six rides may be purchased for $25. Hours of operation vary; visit gestcarts.com for more information.
