Steitz leads Park Hill South to first-place

When five of the first 13 runners who crossed the finish line represented Panther colors, the Park Hill South girls’ cross-country team dominated in the St. Pius X Invitational, and the Panthers took first place on Saturday, Sept. 25.

Freshman Audrey Steitz was the fastest Panther when she finished the race with a time of 23:22, earning a fifth-place finish overall and Natalie Tomanio was right behind her teammate as the sophomore was the sixth runner to finish, ending with a time of 23:45. Freshman Emily Willis was the eighth-place finisher and ended the 5k in 24:02.

Kayla Canchola finished in 12th place and Macy Strobel ended in 13th place. The junior finished with a time of 24:27 and the freshman ended with a 24:37 time.
