The West Platte girls’ softball team along with the school’s FCA and FFA chapters teamed up this past Saturday, June 5, to help raise money for the C.J. Donaldson Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Donaldson was a senior from Dekalb High School who passed away in a car accident earlier this year.
The event was held at the school’s track and raised about $4,600 for the scholarship. Participants were encouraged to run or walk around the school’s track 18 laps in memory of the 18 years of life Donaldson spent on Earth.
